POLICE COURT.
(Before Mr F. E. Flatt, J.P.) At the Police Court, Paeroa, this morning, before Mir F. E. Flatt, J.P.< Angus John Campbell, aged 54 years, farmer, of .Tirohia, who was arrested by Constable O’Neill, was charged with drunkenness in Arney Street, Paeroa, on Saturday morning last. Defendant was released on bail and did not appear at the Court. Constable McClinchy stated that in company with Constable O’Neill he ad’desied defendant, who was in a drunken condition, and took him to the lock-up. Campbell was released on bail on Saturday evening. Tn answer to the Bench witness stated that defendant was ii prohibited person, but he had not been convicted for drunkenness during the last six months. -
Campbell was convicted and fined the amount of his bail,' £l.
