VETERINARY CLUB.
■ —- —♦ MONTHLY MEETING AT NGATEA. The monthly meeting of the executive of the Farmers’ Veterinary Club was held at Ngatea on, Thursday last, there being present.: Messrs J. Darlington (chairman), E. W. Martin, C. W. Schultz, and A. J. Andrews.
Resignations were accetped from two settlers resident at a great distance from a metalled road. Accounts totalling about £l3 were passed for payment when funds permitted.
Mr A. J. Andrews said tht as the work of the club was closely associated with the dairying industry he thought it would be fitting to send a letter of congratulation to the N.Z. Co-op. Dairy Co. complimenting the manager and staff of the Ngatea butter factory on having secured so many prizes at the recent Hamilton and Auckland shows.
Other members supported, pointing out that by winning against all-coin-ers again it had been demonstrated that the Hauraki Plains could produce first-class dairy produce. A motion on the lines indicated was carried.
The veterinary surgeon reported that during the month he had attended 25 cases with satisfactory results. Several eases were st® receiving attention.
