WEDDING.
RICHMOND—JOHNSON. A very pretty wedding took place in St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Paeroa, on Wednesday, June 4, when Miss Elizabeth Johnson, daughter of Mrs F. and the late Mr T. Johnson, of and the late Mr T. Johnson, of Netherton, was united in the bnods of matrimony to Mr W. Richmond, of Netherton, was united in the bonds of officiated. The bride look winsome in a gown of ivory satin, her long veil gathered in folds at the back of the head and caught at each side with a spray of white lilac, and a wreath of orange blossoms across the forehead and carrying a beautiful bridal bouquet. She was attended by two bridesmaids, her sister, Miss Dulcie Johnson, who wore a frock of lavender crepe de chine trimmed with lace, and Miss Richmond, sister of the bridegroom, who was dressed in a frock of Oriental green satin. Both the bridesmaids wore picture hats and carried bouquets. The bridgegroom was attended by his brother as best man, while Mr E. Johnson was groomsman.
After the ceremony Mrs Johnson held a reception in the Netherton Hall, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Some 50 : guests were present, the centre of attraction being a three-decker wedding cake. The usual toasts were proposed and duly honoured. Mr and Mrs W. Richmond left by the evening train for the South.
