TO-NIGHT. OUT OF LUCK. Thrills mingle with laughs, dangerous “stunts" with spectacular naval, manoeuvres and comical mishaps, in a diverting blend in “Out of Luck,” the Universal attraction featuring Hoot Gibson, to be shown at the Gaiety Theatre to-night. The Versatile Hoot plays tho part of a cowboy who joins up with Uncle Sam’s gobs, and his troubles, adventures, and the romance that underlies them, make an engrossing story. Hoot as a sailor mingles thrills and fun. His “edathdefying” walk on a boat-boom, his side-splitting and unsuccessful attempts to sleep in a ship’s hammock, his seasickness and struggles with the naval rules and regulations will recall chuckles long after the picture has gone. . SATURDAY NIGHT. THE WOMAN CONQUERS. Violet Clarks’ drama-bound story of Ninon will be screened at the Gaiety Theatre to-morrow night. The principal role of Ninon le Compe is played by Katherine MacDonald. Ninon came from the tapestried walls of her mansion to the white heart of the North, where man recknoed against man and women competed with no compromise for being a woman. She saw her fortune being sapped by Lazar, whose cruelty gave him whispered fame, and cnoniving backwoodsman meets cultured cunning. She conquered, but the cost of victory was the price of love ,for in the light the weaker won, but it was the life of her only loVe that went into the balance.
