FOOTBALL.
THIRD-GRADE match. PAEROA 10. V. THAMES CLUB 9. Yesterday afternoon a local thirdgrade team met and defeated a team from ihe Thames Physical Training Club in the Paeroa Domain. The Thames team was a little the heavier, but both sides lacked combination. The afternoon was fine and the ground was in good condition. Despite the fact that it was. a public holiday and a number of people were away from Paeroa for the day, there was a fair attendance of the public to witness the game, which was a very equal contest. For the home team trios were scored by Wells and Moore, and Moore also drop-kicked a goal. For the, visitors tries were scored by Burgess, Darrell, and Wolfe, none cf them being conveted. The game ended. Paeroa 10, Thames 9. This is the first time the Thames team has been beaten this season. Mr B Neil .was referee. SCHOOL FOOTBALL. DRAWS IN COMPETITION.
