Some caustic remarks were made about the poor attendance at the annual meeting of the Chamber of Commerce. There was a total of only 16 members present, although the membership is about 86. If Paeroa and the district are to progress satisfactorily it is up to the business people, at least, to support the Chamber ’n its earnest endeavours for the betterment of the town. The secretary stated that he had made a personal convacs of members, in addition to sendit g out notices of the meeting to every member, and it was certainly disappointing that so few should have found it worth while to attend.
