ENTERTAINMENTS
to-night. McGUIRE OF THE MOUNTED. Bob McGuire, of the North-west Mounted Police, rode far into the interior of the North-west Canadian countiy to place an engagement ring on the finger of a little French-Cana-dian girl whom he loved. The night that he returned to the little trading post he was drugged by the gang of smugglers that he had been assigned to "get.” The next morning he learned that he had been married to Katie, a dance hall girl and member of the gang. This is only one of the many dramatic incidents in “McGuire of the Mounted,” the Universal' screen play starring William Desmond, which Is to be shown at the Gaiety Theatre tonight. SATURDAY NIGHT. THE DARING YEARS. Mae Murray in "The French Doll” has taken a famous play hot from the Parisian and New York stages and turned it into an exquisitely charming picture. Herself as little Georgius, Miss Murray renders an interpretation that is as vivid aiid alive as the stage version. "The French Doll" is a delicate and fragile beauty, and forms remarkable entertainment. See it temorrow night, THE FRENCH DOLL. What type of woman does a young man prefer ? A sweet, lovable “home girl oi a vampire—a girl who lures him through the power of her sex an l a coldly calculating mind ' This is the powerfully dramatic theme on which Daniel . Carson Goodman has based his latest photoplay, "The Daring Years,” showing to-morrow night.
