CAPSIZE OF MAIL CAR.
A COMPLETE SOMERSAULT. THREE PASSENGERS INJURED. OPOTIKI, May 1. A service car -belonging to Mr W Chapman, of Wliakatane, when boun I westward from Opotiki yesterday, collided with a small bridge on Beach Road. The car then dived about ten feet into a creek, turning :i complete somersault and settling on its side Tiie front of the chassis and body were very badly smashed. There were three passengers, all of whom were injured, including Mr J. Rya'i and Mr H. Clifton, commercial travellers, of Auckland. Mr Ryan was admitted to the hospital suffering from injury to his right knee. Mr Clifton escaped with cuts and bruises. All are progressing favourably.
