Davidson (Referees’ Association), and J. N. Anderson (lion, secretary). THE BOUNDARIES QUESTION.

The Waitakaruru club wrote notifying that Mr F. Stretton had been appointed delegate, and also forwardc i a copy of a resolution passed by the club as follows : “That owing to the loss of several prominent player,s w? find it impossible to put two teams in the Held in the event of ;any encroachment being made on the present boiin-< dames, and the delegates be instructed to oppose any resolution io that effect.”

The secretary of the Ngatea cluo wrote stating that at a meeting of the club a motion had been passed to the effect that as it was not possible tc obtain .sufficient players for a .senior team in Ngatea the matter should bi placed before the union with a view to having the boundaries extended, and it no relief could be granted the chib would be compelled to disban 1. The only senior players in the area were F. Niecol, R, Jobe, W. Johnson, C. Molloy, J. Ivan, P. Hortene, and P. Leonard.

Mr F. N. Wallis, Pipiroa, wrote acknowledging receipt bf the union’s letter and stating that a meeting had been held in Pipiroa as suggested and Messrs B Wallis, H. .Dalgety, and lie had been appointed to wait upon the union and explain the result. Messrs B. and F. N. Wallis and Dalget.y waited .upon the union, and Mr FL. Wallis said that at the meeting the question was fully discussed. The players were still of the same mind, and had signed a letter intimating •that they would not play for Waitakaruru, but desired the union to alter the boundaries so that they could join the Ngatea club. The names of the Pipiroa players were P. Clark, D. Dal ' gety, F. N, Wallis, W. O’Neil, H. Dalgety, B. Williams, A. McAulay, D. C. Dalgety, and W. Knox.

Mr B. Wallis said that those were all the players available except one.. .Mr C. Hayward asked if the Pipfroa players had given up the idea of forming a club of their own. It ap - peared that they now desired to join Ngatea. The union had decided not to alter the boundaries, and the question could not be reopened without a notice of motion. He had come to hear of the Pipiroa club boundaries and would object to anything elsie. Mr B. Wallis outlined the suggested

boundaries, which would include tha Ngatea club’s area. Mr Hayward asked if the Ngatea club nad disbanded. Mr Vincent stated that it.had been decided to do so unless more area was included tp .supply sufficient players. Mr Hayward contended that these were two different subjects. tn reply to Mr Porteous Mr Vincent said that Ngatea could put forward a junior team only, but in a previous year the union had decided not to admit a club with only a junior team, and. consequently, there was nothing else for the club to do but disband. Mr Thompson moved that the boundaries of the Ngatea area be extended down the Ngatea-Pipiroa road to the sea Mr Christie seconded pro forma. ft was pointed out that the motion could not be allowed, as the union had decided at the previous meeting not to permit Pipiroa to join Ngatea, but that Pipiroa should form a club of its own. The deputations were then asked to withdraw. Mr B. Wallis asked that the Wai-' takaruru delegates also be asked to withdraw. The chairman assured the deputatino that it would get a fair deal. Mr Hayward pointed out that the Waitakaruru club had appointed a deputation which had not been heard. Mr Skelly, speaking on behalf of the deputation, said that should Pipiroa be cut out of the Waitakaruru area his club would be in the same position as Ngatea in that it would not be able to raise a senior team. The union then went into committee. On resuming it was announced that the committee had turned down by seven votes to four that the boundaries of the Ngatea area be extended along the Ngatea-Waitakaruru road straight to the sea, and had decided by the same voting that the area be extended to include the sections west of the Ngatea-Waitakaruru road to Dalgety’s, then down the middle of Pipiroa. Road to the wharf. Also, tiie committee had definitely closed the . matter. Mr Vincent said that under the cir-’ cumstances the Ngatea club would disband. It was decided that for the purpose of the draw the Ngatea club should be included, as the decision to disband might be reconsidered. THE DRAW. .April 26.—Turua v. Kerepeehi. at Turua ; Ngatea v. Hayward moved that the Pae-roa-Hatiraki Plains representative matches be played at Turua. He said that if the other places bn the Plains had sufficient population to provide a gate equal to that at Ngatea. and the chib could provide suitable accommodation they should be considered. His motion was a test motion, to ascertain the feeling of the union. Playing matches in the other places might in dure ;he people of the outer districts to take a greater interest in football. The motion was seconded by Mi’ Porteous. The Hauraki West delegates pointed out the disadvantages of travelling from Patetonga. If. was agreed to hold the matter over. SCHOOL FOOTBALLS.
