■ FINANCIAL STATEMENx. The financial statement tabled at meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council was as follows : RIDING BALANCES. Debit balances at March 31. — Kopuarahi £290, Turua £561, Horahia £247, Kerepeelii £Bl, Netherton £372, Patetonga £435, Pipiroa £137, Wuitakariiru £l9O. Ngatea, credit balance of £B6. The amount anticipated for the general rate was £2227. RATES. The general rate account showed ti>e amount of rates struck, collected, and expended as follows : Kopuarahi, £1224, £592, £BB2 ; Turua, £lBB6, £1384, £1945 ; Horahia, £1416, £893, £ll4O ; Kerepeehi, £1129, £572, £653 ; Nethe--ton, £lBB9, £.1123, £1495 ; Patetonga, £928, £197, £632 ; Ngatea, £1062, £731, £615 ; Pipiroa, £1092, £735, £872 ; Waitakaruru, £1723, £1555, £1745. RECEIPTS. The receipts for the month were . General rate £l2OB 5s Id, hospital £224 Is sd, special rate £274 9« 6d registration fees £55 4s 6d, transfer from loan accounts £2297 12s Id, Public Works Department £1382 5s 4d, and miscellaneous to bring the total to £5580 16s 2d. The credit balance as per cash-book of the county fund account at March 31 was £ll4B 18s. LOAN ACCOUNTS. The balances in the loan accounts were: Netherton roads loan, credit £1968 ; Kopu ferry approach roads 10-in, credit £220 ; Puriri ferry and approach roads loan, credit £241 , Ngatiapua East road loan, debit £5O : housing loan, credit £3461 ; machinery loan, £6914 ; Turua-Netherto i roads loan, £8466. ACCOUNTS. The accounts passed for payment included: Machinery loan, £268 lb Id ; Puriri ferry approach roads loan, £231 3s 6d ; Ngatiapua East road loan, £lO7 18s 4d ; Kopu ferry approach loan. £231 15s 6d ; Wailakaruru district roads loan, £265 Ils 6d ; Nethertol'. roads loan, £367 17s 4d ; 'liiriliNothcrton roads loan, £l6l 15s 3d ; llikutaia quarry account, £46 18,s Id. <Jn the county fund the accounts debated to the ridings were : Waitak iruru £34 15s lOd, Netherton £l7 9s sd, Kerepeelii £1 15s. Turua 152 12s 6d, Kopuarahi B,s 7d, Pipiroa Is 3d, Ngatea £2 19s 3d. The amount of the accounts passed for payment totalled about £2BOO.
