Owing to the Boundaries Commission not having completed its sitting in Paeroa the regular sitting of the Magistrate’s Court, which was to have been held to-day, has been postponed until Thursday, April 17. A combined parade of Territorials and Senior Cadets will be held in the drill shed, Paeroa, at 7.30 o’clock this evening, when the Defence Department’s medals will be presented tc> the winners of the rifle shooting competition which was held towards the end of last year. A cordial invitation j,s extended to the public to be pre--sent. In connection with the exaggerated headlines and the first ten inches of the story of the flood in Paeroiappearing in Friday’s issue cf the Auckland Star, which arrived here on Saturday morning, the Paeroa correspondent to the Star desires to make it known that, he had nothing to do with the account. By the time they noticed the place was iwi fire the blaze had a good ho’d, and they were powerless to do anything in the direction of saving their jipme.
