PLAINS TENNIS.
HANDICAP TOURNAMENT DRAW.
The Hauraki Plains Tennis Association- met at Ngatea on Wednesday last to draw players in the remaining 'matches in tlie handicap tournament. The draw resulted as follows :— Men’s Singles.—B. Frcckliiigton v. D. Waite ; winner to play S. Coppins ; winner to play winner , of ,D. G. McMillan v. J. L. Brownlee match at Kopuarahi on April 5. Dr. Valentine v. J. Robb, at Kopuarahi; winner to play, victor of the McCaldon v. Murphy match at kopuarahi on April 5.
Men’s Doubles. —Coppins and Upppin- play Murphy and Robb at Hopai. ’Fawcett and Bagnall play Robinson and Billing at Turua South : winners lo play off at Kopuarahi on. April 5. Ladies’ Singles.—Mr,s F. Clotwor.thy plavs Miss M. Clotworthy at Turua. Miss Wade plays Mrs Bird at Pateroa. Miss M. O’Carrpll plays-Miss K. Miller at Turua. Winners to play off at Kopuarahi on April 5. Ladies’ Doubles.—Mrs Henry and Mrs Maude play Mrs° McMillan and Miss Gibb at Turua South. Mrs Scott and Miss K. Miller play Mrs Bird and Mirs Duffy at Kopuarahi on April 5. Winners to play off on the same date.
The prize for the men’s singles will be a gold medal, presented by Mr J. Terrill, of Ngatea, and for the ladies’ singles a gold medal, presented by Mr W. E. Hale, of Kopuarahi.
