SPOUTS CLUB’S DANCE.
(To the Editor!. Sir,—A poster advertising a Hau-' raki Plains sports club dance concludes with the words “dress optional” in prominent print. Evidently the ball is to be some affair, and no wonder ticket-sellers are doing good business. What will the critics of the scantily dressed say to such a bold announcement ? The weather, however, is becoming cooler, so that for comfort’s sake dress at least io some extent will be compulsory. SHOCKED.
