The Waitakaruru Football Club held its annual meeting on Friday last, Mr C. Hayward presiding over an attendance of twenty-one. The balance-sheet showed a credit of about £2. Officers elected for the saeson were : Patron, Mr W. Stretton , president, Mr C. A. Hayward; secretary, .Mr S. Kendall ; auditors, Messrs T. W. Elliott and C. Adams ; delegates to Union, Messrs F. In previous years about half the players had belonged to Pipiioa, bu. all the matches and meetings had been held in Waitakaruru. This Season the Pipiroa members contended that half the matches should be played at Pipiroa, and that some of the meetings should be held at a half-w.ij house. To this the Waitakaruru members would not agree, and, conse ■ qnently, the Pipiroa members left the meeting. It was then decided that one club and as many practice matches as possible be held at Pipiioa. The Pipiroa members held a meeting at Pipiroa on Tuesday evening to discuss the attitude of the Waitakaruru club. There were about 30 present.

Players stated that as the Waitakaruru club would not accede to reasonable requests -they would not again play for that club. It was suggested that a separate club should be formed if the Rugby Union would sanction an alteration of boundaries, or, ** an alternative, that, with the consent of the. Union, players should join the Ngatea club..

A deputation, comprising Messrs B Wallis, F. WaDis, and V. Cassin, was appointed to lay the matter before the Union at its first meeting. KEREPEEHI CLUB. The Kerepeehi Club met ojn Wednesday evening, Mr J. Nicholson presiding over an attendance of about 30 persons. It was decided to put two teams in the field. Nicholson and W. Thompson ; secretary, Mr G. Masters ; treasurer, Mr G. Al Avey. The appointment of selectors was left to the management committee. It was decided to hold monthly, dances, commencing on the 28th inst., and a committee was formed for that

purpose. - The annual subscription was fixed 3s, and the same colours as the previous year—black and red —were adopted.
