MATCHES ON THE PLAINS.

WINS FOR KOPUARAHI.

The usual cricket matches were played on the Plains 1 on Saturday last, and resulted in three-point wins being secured by both Kopuarahi clubs. 'On the Kopuarahi pitch Waitakaruru were dismissed for 11 runs in the first innings, Kqefoed doing the hat crick. They reached 45 in the second innings, but Kopuarahi A, having made 35 in the first innings and 23 for three wickets in the second, had ar, easy victory. In the match at Pipiroa the home team batted first and knocked up 25, the visitors securing one less, AV. O’Neil did the hat trick. In the second innings Pipiroa made 38, but their opponents capped this by four runs, of which L. James made 21.
