Mr G. Fallon, P.G. of the Loyal Jubilee Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., Paeroa, lias been elected’ a delegate to represent the lodge at the annual conference in Auckland on the 14th instant.

Captain Peacock, who is now lying seriously ill in the Thames Hospital, has; received the following telegram from Sir Maui Pomafe and Dr. Buck : “ We have just heard of your serious illness. In the hour of your trial we remember the great work that you did for the' Maori race in the time of the Empire’s need. With your boys from near and far we earnestly hope that all will be well with you. Arohanui (great love).” Captain Peacock trained all the Maori contingents that went to the war, also going himself.
