PIPIROA WATER SUPPLY.
PROVISIONAL AREA. At Wednesday’s special meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council Cr. Perfitt suggested that an area comprising all the settlers who would require water should be defined for ■the purpose of the postal ballot for the Pipirci' water supply scheme. When the result of the referendum was known the area to be reticulated could be fixed.
The provisional ai'ea was fixed as that encompassed by a line drawn up the Piako River from its mouth to the top of Puhanga Road, thence west along Torehape-Puhanga Road to Pouarua Road, but passing behind sections 4,6, 8, and 10 at the corner of these two roads ; along Pouarua Road to a point beyond Rawe Rawe Road .it the northern corner of section 51, thence west alongside sections 50 and 51 to the Maukoro Canal, thence south-west to the foothills, and skir.ing these to the sea near the' hot spring,- on Miranda Road. ?r. Parfitt and the clerk were deputed to prepare the referendum paper and conduct the ballot.
