BOWLING.

HAMILTON TEAM BEATEN. On the local rinks on Saturday afterneon a team from Hamilton played a Paeroa team. Much interest was taken in the game, in view of the fact that the team representing Hamilton was composed of members who are to play for their club at the Easter Bowling Tournament, to be held at Cambridge this year.

The teams were as follows : Hamilton : E. Hall, F. House, W. Peterson, D. Andrews (skip) ; Paeroa: D. Brown, C. Pascoe, G. H. Taylor, P. Williams (skip). The final scores were: Paeroa 26, Hamilton 14.

As the local club has. also selected a team to go tp Cambridge for the Easter Tournament the players were “tried out” on Saturday evening against the Hamilton team. The Paeroa players were D. McWatters, T. Black, D. Brown, and P. Williams (skip). The teams were evenly matched, and a close and interesting game resulted with the scores 16 to 15 in favour of Paeroa.

The visitors returned to Hamilton by cai yesterday atfernoon, expressing themselves in glowing terms of the hospitality that they had received from the local bowlers and their friends.
