WILSON’S ROAD.

. LOAN FOR COMPLETION. CONFERENCE WITH ENGINEER. Tn accordance with an arrangement between the Netherton Ratepayer,s’ Association and the Hauraki Plains County Council a conference was held on Wilson’s Road on Thursday morning between the county engineer and a committee of settlers to discuss a proposal to raise a loan to complete Wilson’s Road. After the matter was fully discussed it was decided not to agree to the loan poll being held unless the rating area was the whole of the Netherton riding. With the subsidy already' approved of, the amount required to complete the formation, do what cup verting was necessary, lay 4in of sand on the first 100 chains from the Puke end, and metal the whole road to a depth of 9in and a width of 12ft would be less than £3OOO. A loan of £3OOO would be ample to provide the first years’ interest and sinking fund; and all charges.
