MATCHES ON THE PLAINS. STAURDAY'S RESULTS. The Hauraki Plains Tennis Association’s competitions were advanced a further stage on Saturday last. The Hopai Club has now completed all its matches, and has secured 41 points. l With one match each to play, Turua, Kobuarahi, Pateroa, and Turua South have 53, 24, 31, and 24 points to their cre.lit. Waitakaruru and Kerepeehi with 31 and 14, points respectively still have two matches to play. The results of the matches on Saturday are as follows Turua South v. Miller lost to S. McClane arid Miss M. Beaver 5—7. Results : Waitakaruru 10, Kopuarahi 3. B GRADE. The B Grade' competition is slowly drawing to a close. One match was played on Saturday 'and one remains to be played. It will, however be some time before the issue is settled; as the A. and P. Show and the Thames races will interfere. With Saturday’s win Turua is now_ a serious rival to Kopuarahi for the shield. While it -is probable that Turua. will defeat Kerepeehi it remains to be seen if they can secure the nine points required to- top Kopuarahi’s total of 46.
