DISTRICT NEWS.
KEBEPEEHL SCHOOL PICNIC. The Kerepeehi School held its annual picnic in the school grounds on Satin day last. Luncheon was provided, and the usual programme of ruin ning races was held. At the concul-" sion every child was given a small present. The children's races resulted as follows:— Girls. —11 to 14 years, P. Frecklington 1, E. Rhind 2 ; 8 to 10 years, N. Fisher 1, P. Smith 2; 5 to 7 years, M. Anderson 1, I. Kotara 2 ; up to 5 years, S. McMillan 1, C. Brown 2. Boys.—ll years and upwards, •SRang 1 1, B. Thompson. 2 ; 8 to 10' years, A. Frecklington 1, r. Carr 2; 5 to 7 years, R Hawera 1, R. Murphy 2 ; up to 5 years, R. Baggs 1, R. McMillan 2. Three-legged races : Girls, EL Rhind and P. Frecklington. Boys: S. Rangi and B. Thompson. Wheelbarrow I.
