COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Special Roll declared under Section 3 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, containing the names of all ratepayers, together with the number of section, block, and area, and rateable value of the land included m the Machinery Loan No. 2 Special Rating area has been this day deposited in the County Office, Ngatea, for public inspection for a period of 7 days. Objections must be written and in duplicate, and must be lodged with the undersigned within days after the last, day on which the said roll is deposited as aforesaid. Dated at Ngatea this Bth day of February, 1924. ERNEST WALTON, County. Clerk. THE THAMES VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. NOTICE is hereby given in terms of Section 9 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, that it is proposed by the Thames Valley. Electric Power Board to raise under Part 1 of the said Act a further Special Loan for the purpose of purchasing and constructing electric works within the meaning of and pursuant to the Electric Power Boards Act, 1918. The sum proposed to be borrowed is £150,000. The Board proposes to appropriate and pledge as a security for this loan and interest a Special Rate of one-fourth of a penny per pound on the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the Electric Power District. It is proposed that the said loan shall be repayable at the expiration of thirty-six and a half years from the Ist day of December, 1924, and that £ sinking fund shall be provided of one per centum per annum. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising same, and the interest and sinking funci for the first year. Bv order of the Board. R. SPRAGUE. Manager.
