JERSEY BREEDERS’ CLUB
THAMES TALLY CLUB'S MEETING. A meeting o£ the Thames Valley Jersey Breeders’ Club was held in the N.Z. Co-op. Dairy Company’s Paeroa office this morning, the president, Mr G. Buchanan, occupying the chair. There were also present: Messrs E. J. Walters, M. Crimmins, W. J. Hall, B E. Veale, C. Townsend, M. J. Harris. and J. K; Dean, secretary. AFFILIATION. It was decided to pay £2 2s affiliation fee to the South Auckland Jersey Breeders’ Association, Hamilton. JERSEY PUBLICITY. A letter wa.s received from the editor of the Dairyfarmer s'ating that that journal intended issuing a special Jersey number in the March edition, and suggesting that the clu'j might co-operate with the South Auckland Jersey Association in forwarding a descriptive article and advertisement relating to the club’s activities and the progress of the breed in the Thames Vallay district. It was deieded to forward an advertisement. JERSEY DEMONSTRATION. It was agreed to ask Mr IE E. B. Watson, the official Jersey demonstrate! to give two demonstrations, the first one to be held at Matatoki on Mr Hall’s, property on March 26, and the other the following day at Paeroa at Mr Buchanan’s, the demonstrations to commence at 11 a.m. on both days. SALE OF PEDIGREE CATTLE. it was resolved that members of the club should not sell pedigree stock unless definite arrangements were made between vendor and purchaser' for. payment for the animals, and also that no transfer should be given unless the animal was fully paid for. ■
