CLAUDELANDS STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ CP-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— We held our fortnightly stock sale in the Claudeiands yards on Thursday, January 24, where wc had a good entry of steer and cow beef and mutton; also a fair entry of store cattle. Only a small number of pigs were penned, which prevented outside buyers who were present from operating, thus prices, were ’slightly easier. The whole yarding of beef changed hands. Good prices were obtained, 'while practically all the mutton cleared at late market rates. Medium fat steers £7 14s to £B, well done (small) £6 19s to £7 7s, heavy fat cows and heifers £5 10s to £6 9s, medium £4 13s to £5 ss, lighter £3 10s to £4 3s, fresh conditioned cows £2 10s toi £3 10s, stores £1 sis. to £2, culls 15s to £l, 15-months Shorthorn heifers £1 6s to £1 10s, same aged steers £1 15s to £2 ss, bulls (potters) £1 to £3, good conditioned 33$ year steers £5 Bs, 2% year £3 18s, prime fat wethers £1 Ils, medium 25s 6d, fat 2-tooth ewes 20, 5, other fat ewes 21s to 22s lOd. Pigs ; Bacpners £3 12,s 6d, good porkers £2 s 9 to £2 10, small 30s to £2 Is, slips £1 to £1 ss, weaners 15s to 16s.
