A PROGRESSIVE FIRM.
PAEROA ENGINEERING CO.. A long-felt want, not only in Paeroa but in the district generally, is being met by the enterprise and successful management of the Paeroa Engineering Co. This progressive company, under the capable manager- " ship of Mr J. T. Brown, has made rapid strides during the past year, and it now in the enviable position of being able to undertake and successfully carry out any class of engineering work. In addition, this firm has an up-to-date motor department, and all classes of repair work ' can be promptly and efficiently carried out by skilled mechanics under Mr Brown’s personal supervision. Batteries can be recharged, and the company holds the service station for the famous Prest-o-Lite batteries. All accessories for cars, motor-cycles, and cycles are kept in stock, and belting, pulleys, bearings, shaftings, and milking machine extras are some of the many lines carried. In addition to what has been enumerated the company has a farmer’s special geared pump, which is a highly-fin-ished article, and of perfect construction throughout. There is also manufactured a special clutch pump, which, although not so highly finish-* ed, is guaranteed to be accurate and •satisfactory hi all its working parts. A special feature is a line of saw benches, with sliding and cross-cut- : ting adjustments; which has been’de-f " sig:ied by Mr Brown, These benches’ < have not only met with a ready sale in this district, but are eagerly ! sought after by Auckland merchants for retailing to- farmers at' prices that defy any competition. At the present time the company is busily engaged on making 24 one-ton metal trucks to the order of the Tirohia Quarry Co. These trucks; including the iron and woodwork, are being made by machinery on the premises, and the finished article is a distinct credit! to the capabilities and enterprise of the manufacturers. The Paeroa Engineering Co.> also holds' the lo.cny agency for Reid and Gray’s farm implements, Oliver ploughs an 1 Dandy windmills, Anderson and Masport engines, Ford cars, trucks, and tractors, Unity milking machines, and many other lines in daily use by farmers.
