BUYING FOR CHRISTMAS.

Make Paeroa Your Shopping Centre. Satisfaction and Quality Guaranteed. Probably never before in Paeroa has the problem of gift-giving been - made so easy as it is this year. The tradespeople to a shop have risen to the occasion, each vieing to outdo the other in successfully catering for. •the requirements of the public at this season of the year. Never before have the shops been so fully stocked, or the various windows better displayed. Not only have the business people of Paeroa shown considerable ability and enterprise, but they have shown that they have faith in their town and district, and that by carefully studying the requirements of their patrons, and by obtaining first quality and up-to-date goods they hope, and deserve, to retain a fair share of patronage in their own town, and have proved to the public that it is unnecessary to go to the trouble and expense of visiting neighbouring towns to do their shopping successfully. Probably this season, taking things all round, has been one of the most prosperous experienced for a number, of years, as- far as the town and district are concerned. Realising this, and also the fact that Pae- ■ roa is mainly dependent on the primary producers for its welfare and prosperity, the local tradespeople have been induced to put forward every effort to capture trade, not only for their own gain, but so that the money may be circulated in Paeroa, where it rightly belongs, instead of going out of the town. Each and everyone can help Paeroa to grow and maintain its status as an up-to-date shopping centre in the midst of a wonderfully fertile dairying district. There is no doubt that the shopkeepers have done their best to create a joyous carnival spirit and to make Christmas 1923, one of happy memories. To those in doubt as to what to buy, and where to go for it, th 3 following tradespeople submit a few suggestions that may be helpful.
