The “Home of Good Value," in Normanby Road, is daily becoming a centre ot attraction, and this week, particularly, people have been drawn inside the doors of the establishment by the magnetic display of useful and dainty gifts. Mr J. P. Gamble ", has acquired the happy knack of buy- ' ing right, and buying exclusive lines that never fail to appeal to the public. During the next few days MiGamble is making a special feature of handkerchiefs, in fancy boxes of “ -half dozens or single. Nothing could be more acceptable to ladies than a box of these genuine Ir.sh linen hriadkerchiefs, and it is worthy of record that of the immense line of ‘ these gifts nd two boxes are alike. Those not desiring to give handkerchiefs 'will find many useful gift'in the .shape of dainty bottles of pes fumes prepared by celebrated scent manufacturers. Nothing will appeal more to womenfolk than good —they make a useful and welcome gift—and the " Home of Good Value” is specialising in a line of traveller’s samples of stockings in pure silk and artificial silk in all col'jurs, which cannot fail to appeal and meet with a ready sale owing to genuine quality and reasonable priceA special line unpacked this, week is 'some wonderful Switzerland “radium” lace in all shades. The texture and colouring of this lace -s beautiful, and must cause admiration and a keen desire to possess some. Realising this, Mr Gamble is retailing all “radium” laces very cheaply, simply because he was fortunate enough again to buy right, and is not desirous of making a huge profi--o*l the line. The supply is limited, however, and patrons are advised to purchase early and avoid being disappointed. Special mention should .f. be made of a line of the much sought Jr - after genuine Milanese double-tipped ladies’ gloves, which are being sold at a surprisingly low figure. There is aho splendid value and a wide selection in d’oyleys, traycloths, fancy > belts, etc. The men have not been forgotten, and Mr Gamble cordially invites men to accompany their womenfolk on a tour of inspection of his premises, where he will be pleased to show them wonderful walues in ties, shirts in silk, fancy, and tobralco; braces, suspenders, sox, handkerchiefs, and many other useful lines are to be had at the “Home of Good Value” (late Miss Keller), in Normanby Road.
