WAITAKABUBU. SCHOOL PICNIC. The Waitakaruru annual school sports and prize-giving will be held in t'he schoolgrounds on Thursday, December 20. FIRST AID OUTFIT. - The Ngatea D’istrct High School Committee at its meeting on Monday evening decided to have a firstaid outfit installed at the school. VETERINARY CLUB. Four new members were enrolled at the monthly meeting of the Farmers’ Veterinary Club held on Tuesday. The membership is now over 100'. It was decided to take legal action to collect certain outstanding subscriptions and accounts. kerepeehi. THE ROADING SCHEME. Despite a very long discussion on the matter, at a meeting of the Kerepeehi Ratepayers’ Association on Monday evening the issue in regard to the permanent reading scheme is still in doubt. The outer area settlers are not agreeable to raising the amount of the loan to cover the cost of metalling the streets of the township, but advocated that these be done out of the general rate when the riding roads are bituminised as the maintenance then would be negligible.
