Public Notice*. NOTICE RESPECTING PROPOSED ALTERATION OF BOUNDARIES, BOROUGH OF PAEROA. Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, October 26, 1923. IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the GovernorGeneral, under section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto, being now part of the Borough of Paeroa, may be excluded from the said Borobgh and included in the County of Ohinemuri. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington. SCHEDULE. Area proposed to be excluded from the Borough of Paeroa. All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the Westernmost corner of Taiwhakarewakauri Block and proceeding south-east-erly along the southern boundary of that block to a point in line with the middle line of Ainslie’s Road, thence along a right line to and along the said middle line of Ainslie’s Road to Aorangi Road, thence along a right line across that road to the boundary between Sections 2 and 3 of Aorangi A Block, southerly along that boundary and its production to Town of Paeroa, thence along the boundaries of said Town of Paeroa in a south-easterly, a southerly, and a south-westerly direction to the right bank of the Ohinemuri River, thence along a right line to the intersection of the middle line of No. 2 Road with the western side of old Te Aroha Road, and along the said middle line of No. 2 Road to the eastern boundary of Papaturoa No. 7. then southerly along that boundary and easterly along the southern boundaries of Papaturoa Nos. 7 and 8 to the eastern side of the Paeroa-Waihi Railway Reserve, thence south-easterly, north-easterly, northerly, northwesterly, and south-westerly generally along the boundaries of the Borough of Paeroa to the point of commencement. Also all that area bounded on the east by the eastern boundary of Waihi-Paeroa Railway Reserve on the north by the middle of the Ohinemuri River and on the west and south by the boundary of the Borough of Paeroa. M OTICE is hereby given that x 1 at a Special Meeting of the above Council held on the Ist day of November, 1923, a Resolution, the purport of which is given below, was passed, and will. be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on the 29th November, 1923, at 1 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Paeroa. PURPORT OF RESOLUTION. To declare, under the powers conferred by the “Noxious Weeds Act, 1908,” Fennel, Gorse, Ox-eye Daisy, and Ragwort to be noxious weeds within the County of Ohinemuri. The full text of the resolution is open for inspection at the County Offices, Paeroa, during ordinary office hours. Dated at Paeroa this Ist day of November, 1923. R. W.
