HAMILTON STOCK SALEI The Farmers’ Cp-operatlve Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— At Hamilton on Tuesday last! we had a small yarding of sheep, but cattle and pigs were in average supply. Sheep were again dull of sale, and most of the entry was passed. A pen of prime shorn wethers sold at 355. The quality of beef penned was good, and keen competition resulted, values reaching 38s for prime ox. Best steers made to £l6 7s; good cows £7 5s to £8 15s, lighter weights £5 to £7 ; forward cows £3 to £4 10s. A few pens of grown steers were yarded, and sold under fair competition from £5 to £6 7s 6d. Empty heifers were well competed for, Jersey-cross yearlings from good herds making to £5 12s, small heifers £2 17s 6d to £3 10 s - Dairy cow® were in fair de’m’and, the best making from £lo’ to £l3, others £ 410 s to £7 10s; heifers, best, from £8 to £ll 10s, ilow-conditfioned £5 to £7, low and backward £2 to £3 15s. I’igs were yarded in good numbers, and the prices for all classes were firm.
