Public Notice*. COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW. Loan of £47,190 for the construction of Bitumen Roads in the Netherton Riding Special Rating Area. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN :— 1. That it is the intention of the Hauraki Plains County Council, under the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1920, ine Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” and amendments thereof respectively, and all other Acts, if any, it in that behalf enabling, to borrow the sum of £47,190 for the following purposes : (a) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road, the main Turua-Netherton Road from the Kerepeehi Riding Boundary to Wilson’s Road, via Awaiti Road, a distance of approximately 170 chains •• £4540 (b) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road Wilson’s Road, a distance of approximately 140 chains (c) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road the main road from Puke Bridge to Wilson’s Road, a distance of approximately 40 chains •• £lo4 ° (d) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road the old main road from Netherton School to Wilson’s Road corner, a distance of approximately 220 chains .. .. £3biO (e) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road Rangiora Road, a distance of approximately 60 chains (f) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road Stopbank Road, a distance of approximately 110 chains .. • • fc<J 44V (g) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road Pukahu Road, a distance of approximately 170 chains • • (h) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road Awaiti Road for a distance of approximately 200 chains south from Wilson’s Road ■ • (i) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road Awaiti West Road, a distance of approximately 112 chains (j) Legalising as a road, and then improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road Awaiti Road Extension South to the County boundary, a distance of approximately 200 chains - - • • £ byuu (k) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road School Road, a distance of approxi- • mately 102 chains .. ... .. .. •• £1940 (l) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a Bitumen Road Fisher’s Road, a distance of approximately 148 chains •• . That as security for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan, it is the intention of the said Council to make and levy a special rate of sixpence (6d) in the £ upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Netherton Riding of the County of Hauraki Plains. 3. The loan is for a period of 36| years at such rate of interest not exceeding so much as may be authorised under section 11 of the Finance Act, 1921, together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinking fund.
