GOLF.
The bogey competition played last Saturday on the local links for the Captain’s trophy was won by Mr H. SBudd with a score of 1 down. The' second round of the President’s trophy will be played over 18 holes next Saturday; bogey play, points as before. Members will be pleased >to learn the the green superintendent reports having received new equipment, and the greens should now be in excellent condition for play for the remaindet of the season. A match with the Thames Golf Club is being arranged for October 13, and to be played on the Thames links. LADIES. The third and final round of the eclectic match for the captain’s trophy was played op Saturday, and was won by Mrs Peacock. The best cards returned were: Mrs Peacock, 68 net, Mrs Miller 75 net, Miss L. Buchanan 75, Miss L ,Thorp 78, Miss E. Walmsley 79. Next Saturday the usual medal round for the monthly medal will be played over 18 holes.
