COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council held on Thursday the 30th day of August, 1923, the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday, the 9th day of October, 1923, at 11 a.m. at the County Office, Ngatea. RESOLUTION. . In exercise of the powers conferred on, it ; .by Wbction 168 .of “The Counties Act, 1920,” and of every other power it thereunto enabling the Hauraki Plains County Council, on the petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the district hereinafter mentioned, resolves and declares, by way of special order, as follows : 1. The part of the County of Hauraki Plains described in the schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a district for the purpose of the construction of drainage-works therein. 2. The name of the said district shall be the Horahia-Opou Special Drainage District. 3. That the day from and after which such district shall be constituted shall he Wednesday, the 10th day of October, 1923. SCHEDULE. All that area in the Auckland Land District containing 1780 acres, more or less, bounded as follows Commencing at a point in the South Western Corner of section 3s Horahia Settlement, thence in a northerly. direction along the western boundary of that section, and the western boundary of that section produced to intersect the northern boundary of section 11 Block 11. Waihou Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of that section to its north-eastern corner, from thence in a north-easterly direct tion to a point in the centre of the western boundary of lot 18, D.P. 7492; thence along the west; ern boundary of. the Hauraki Drainage District in a southerly direction to a point in the centre of the eastern boundary of section 1A Block VII.. Waihou Survey District; thence in a southwesterly direction to a point on the eastern boundary of section 2 Block VII. Waihou Survey District 10 chains south from the north-eastern comer of that section, thence by right lines gen erally in a westerly and northwesterly direction, of 25 chains and 14 chains respectively to the ndrth-eastem comer of section 2 Block VII. Waihou Survey District, thence by a right line in a north-westerly direction to a point on the northern boundary of section 9 Block 11. Waihou Survey District 30 chains distant from the north-western corner of that section ; thence generally in a north-westerly direction by right lines parallel to, and 30 chains distant from, the eastern side of the Kerepeehi-Kopuarahi road to the south-western comer of section 3B IB 2 Horahia-Opou Block, thence along the western boundary of that block to its north-western comer, thence by a right line to the point of commencement. In exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1908,” and amendments thereof and of every other power it thereunto enabling the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that Gorse (Ulex europoeus), Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea), and Ox-eye Daisy (Chrysanthemum leucanthemnm) (being plants mentioned in the Third Schedule to the said Act, as extended from time to time by the Governor-General in Council) are noxious weeds within the County of Hauraki Plains.
