TESTING OFFICER FAREWELLED. A pleasant little ceremony took place at the Paeroa butter factory on Saturday last, when the staff gathered” to say au revoir to Mr Arnold Adams, who for the past 2% years has been testing officer in Paeroa, Mr J. Mitchell, speaking on behalf of the factory staff, referred to the vet’y cordial relations that had always existed between the actual factory and the testing department. The departure of Mr Adams was sincerely regretted by those present, but they were not so selfish as to grudge the promotion due to him. Mr Mitchell said that Mr Adams had always been held in. the highest esteem by his mates, and while sorry to Hose his companionship they heartily congratulated him on his promotion to h<md testing officer at Ngatea. On behalf of the staff Mr L. Morris, factory manager, handed Mr Adams a leather suitcase, which he asked him to accept as a slight token of esteem from his mates. He referred to the long service Mr Adams had put in with the N.Z. Co-op. Dairy Co., Ltd., and by fair and impartial attention to his work he had not only made himself a highly efficient officer, but one whose opinion was sought after and valued. He wished him good health, happiness, and prosperity. Mr Adams briefly responded.
