NETHERTON ROADS LOAN
ANALYSIS OF EXPENDITURE, The following analysis of expenditure of the Netherton roads loan was given by Mr E. Walton, county clerk, at a meeting of ratepayers at Netherton on Saturday evening :— New Nethenton Riding.—Wilson’s Road: Amount authorised by ratepayers, £2133 ss; expended in draining, stumping, formation, and the purchase of metal, £1698 16s 6d ; balance of authority, £434 8s 6d. Main Road. —By proportion on valuation basis of amount authorised, £2364 ; expenditure nil. There is a commitment of £lOOO in respect to that portion of this road between the Netherton school and factory. Rangiora Road.—Authorised, £465 16s ; expenditure, nil. Awaiti Road.—Authorised, £420 ■ expenditure, nil; payment to Lands Department for metalling, £125; balance, £295 16s. School Road.—Authorised, £l6ot; expenditure, £241 3s; balance, £1358 18s. Munro’s Road.—Authorised, £333 19s: expenditure, £35 2s; balance, £248 17s. Fisher’s Road—Authorised, £l5lO 13s ; expenditure, £350 2s 3d ; balance, £ll6O 10s 9d. Present Kerepeehi Riding: Main Road : Proportion on valuation basis, £1313; expenditure, nil. Pekapeka Road: Authorised, £lBOB 16s; expenditure, £314 19s 7d; balance, £1493 16s sd. Present Turua Riding.—Proportion on valuation basis, £2298 ; expenditure, metalling at Troughton’s, £1147 19s 6d ; balance, £ll5O O.s 6d. Johnston’s Road : Authorised, £4OB 14s ; expenditure, nil. Kerepeehi-Whare-poa Road: Authorised, £342 14s ; expenditure, nil. Miscellaneous—To expenditure to March 31, 1923, £331 19s lid ; being mostly first year’s interest and sinking fund, to be spread over whole expenditure.
