Public Notices. HAURAKI DRAINAGE BOARD. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES. NOTICE is hereby given that the Hauraki Drainage Board will at its next meeting to be held at Turua on Friday, the 28th day of September, 1923, at 11 a.m., make and levy, under Sections 31, 32, and 33 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, and the Rating Act, 1908, and the amendmente thereto, the following several Rates for the period of one year, commencing on the Ist day of April, 1923, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1924, namely : UPON ALL LANDS CLASSIFIED AS “A” in the Classification made by the Board of the Rateable property within its District a Rate of 15-Bths of a penny in the £ in the Northern Area, a Rate of 16-Bths of a penny in the £ in the Turua and Central Areas, a Rate of 14-Bths of a penny in the £ in the Te Kauri Area,, and a Rate of 11 Bths of a penny in the £ in the Monganui Area on the Unimproved Value of such lands. UPON ALL LANDS CLASSIFIED AS “B” in the said Classification a Rate of 13-Bths of a penny in the £ in the Northern Area, 14- Bths of a penny in the £ in the Turua and Central Areas, 12-Bths of a penny in the £ in the Te Kauri Area, and 9-Bths of a penny in the £ in the Monganui Area or. the Unimproved Value of such lands. UPON ALL LANDS CLASSIFIED AS “C” in the said Classification a Rate of 11-Bths of a penny m the. £ in the Northern Area, 12-Bths of a penny in the £ in the Turua and Central Areas, 10-Bths of a penny in the £ in the Te Kauri Area, and 7-Bths of a penny in the £ in the Monganui Area on the Unimproved Value of such lands. Notice is also given that the Valuation Roll, Ratepayers’ List, and Rate Book are open for inspection at the office of the Board, Turua Buildings, Turua, during office hours. Notice is also given that it is the intention of the Board to collect with the above-mentioned rates the Special Rates on the No. 1 and No. 2 Special Drainage Loans, each of £5OOO.
