TURUA ROAD LOAN.

PROPOSAL APPROVED. A proposal to borrow the sum of £7750 for the construction of bitumen roads in the Turua Town Board area was placed before the • ratepayers on Monday last and unanimously approved. The loan is for a period of 36H years, and the interest, sinking-fund, and charges will be paid by a special rate of 5d in the £ upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the special rating area,
