A fierce battle between a domestic duck and a hawk was witnessed near the Turua wharf last week. The duck, however, was too heavy to be carried off, so the hawk gave up the attempt. A very enjoyable evening is assured those who will be present at the concert to be given by the Turua Concert Party in the Ngatea Hall on Wednesday next. The Party will comprise about fifteen art,is,ts. and the programme will be similar to that given in Turua recently. The proceeds will be given to swell the street lighting fund,
