CHEERFUL “ AUSSIE.’’
THE CURRENT NUMBER. Time was when “ Aussie ” was merely a memory of /the battlefields. To-day “Aussie” in New Zealand is an institution of humour and good will, appealing to every man and womam in the Dominion. There are 60 pages of humorous pictures, short stories, jokes, and sketches, / and in the special section provided for New Zealand much of the work had been done by promising Maorilanders. There is a fine note of spring cheerfulness throughout the issue. Much credit, is due to “ Aussie ” for the encouragement given to young artists and writers in the Dominions, and their work in the August -issue of the magazine is highly creditable. Altogether the issue is g, wonderful production of cheerfulness.
