PERSONAL.
Mr Arthur Farrelly, who has been on the staff of the National Bank at Paeroa for some years, has been transferred to Hamilton, and leaves to take up his new duties on Monday. A pleasant little function took place at Thames last Saturday evening, When the .staff of the Thames and Thames South railway stations entertained the popular stationmaster, Mi J. A. Arthur, who has been promoted to Paeroa. Mr TrcgowetJi, as chairman, in a short eulogistic speech, presented Mr Arthur, on behalf .of the staff, with a handsome dinner service. He referred to the good feeling that had always existed between the stationmaster and the staff, and regretted Mr Arthur’s departure. Mr Arthur thanked, all for the extreme loyalty the staff had shown during his stay at Thames, and also for the good feeling ‘promoting the handsome present. Mr Arthur took up his new duties this morning.
