McWATTERS’ DRAPERY BUSINESS.
CHANGES HANDS. A transaction of considerable interest locally is the sale by Mr David McWatters of the general drapery and showroom portion of his business, situated in Normanby Road, Paeroa, to a well known Aucklanl commercial traveller in the person of Mr Percy Williams, who for many years has so successfully represented Messrs J. H. and F. Roberts, manufacturers and warehousemen, of Manchester. A strong company, with unrivalled buying facilities, has been formed, and thfe business will in future be known as Williams, Ltd. The new company takes possession on Monday, August 13, and the premises will be clcsed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 13<th, 14th, and 15th, for the purpose of stocktaking and marking down, and will reopen on Thursday morning. August 16, under the new management, on which day a big introduction sale will be launched. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be spent in opening new Stocks, marking down, and making preparation for the introduction sale"generally. The new company will spare no effort to maintain the standard of efficiency attained by Mr McWatters, while the value and superior quality of the stocks will at all times speak for themselves. The aim of the company will always be to give long and lasting satisfaction by submitting only goods Of thoroughly dependable quality at prices that will represent the verv best value obtainable. The Introduction Sale will commence on Thursday, August 16, at 9 a.m., and will continue for a limited period. A clean sweep has been decided upon, and the opportunity should be fully availed of by securing future a,s well as present needs at niost advantageous prices.*
