PAEROA RUGBY UNION. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of the Paeroa Rugby Union was held last night, when there were present: Messrs J. Walmsley (chairman), T. P. Vuglar, H. M. Shand, B. Neil, C. Potter, W. Power, and the secretary, Mr R. B. Penlington. A letter was received from the Rotorua Rugby Union suggesting September 15 as the date for the match at Rotorua. It was decided to accept this date. The Thames Valley Rugby Union advised that ip addition to the representative team Auckland wa,s sending down a third grade representative team, and suggested that the latter be matched against the junior representatives winning the Sharebrokers’ Cup as a curtain-raiser. It was decided to agree to the proposal. . The secretary was instructed to write to the Thames Union suggesting that Paeroa send down a third grade team to Thames on August 25. It was decided to set aside August 25 as Charity Saturday, the match to be a return match, Paeroa representatives v. Unknowns, the curtainraiser to be Turua v. Junior Representatives. The following other matches were set down for that date : Netherton v. Suburbs, at Netheriton (seniors) ; Karangahake v. Suburbs, at Hikutaia (juniors). N. Saunders was regraded from the Netherton senior grade to the juniors. E. C. Harris was registered by the East club. Accounts to the amount of 16s were passed for payment. The following matches will be played on Saturday:— Paeroa v. Piako, the curtain-raise’’ to be Waihi High. School v. Paeroa Third Grade. Juniors.—Netherton v. West, at Netherton ; Suburbs v. Karangahake, at Karangahake. The following player,s are requested to attend at the Drill Hall for practice to-night:— Backs: E. Hamilton (West), J. Towers, J. O’Brien,, E. Potter, D, Haskell, ,J. Rackham, M. Vowles, H. Thorp, E? King, C. Treanor, J. Meade. Forwards : E. Fisher, J. Rcbliison, J. Morrison, F. Fitch, W. Griffin, F. Thorp, E. Alley, K. Slyfield, Hayward (Netherton), L. Thomas (Hikutaia), Thorburn (West). L. Nield. TEAMS FOR SATURDAY.
