NGATEA PUBLIC HALL.

MEETING OF SOCIETY. A meeting of the Ngatea Public Hall . Society was held last evening. Mr G. T. Davidson presided, and there were present Messrs D. A. Vincent, W. Clare, S. Phillips, W. McDuff, and C. MellOr (secretary), Arrangements were made to obtain a copy of the title to the half section so/that a mortgage could be arranged with the bank. Accounts totalling about £5O including £3O for the installation of electric light and power, were passed for payment. ft was decided to refund to the Kerepeehi Concert Party the sum paid for half hire on the night of Sister Esther’s Fund concert as a to the fund. Improvements to the hall were disand it was resolved that it be ascertained if an adjoining section, could be purchased. The following scale of charges for hall hire was agreed upon: Local entertainments, long night 30s, short night 20®, use of crockery 5s extra; professional entertainments 30s, meetings, day 10s, evening 12s 6d : Divine services, Sundays 2s 6d, during week, evening 12s 6d, day 10s; debating society Ts 6d.
