ASSISTED IMMIGRANTS.
NEW NOMINATION FORM ISSUED. The new forms to be filled in when a New Zealand resident wishes to nominate persons in England as assisted immigrants were made available for the first time on Moiiday. Under the new tariff domestics are granted free passages in six,, four, and two-berth cabins; farm labourers pay £ll, £l3. or £l7, according to the number of berths in the cabins; single adults and married couples (without children), £l6, £lB 10s, or £.22 ,10s; married adults (with at least one child), £ll, £l3, or £l7; juveniles (boys and girls) 12 but not 17 years of age, free (in six-berth cabins), £2 (in four-berth cabins) and £6 (in' two-berth cabins) ; boys and girls (between 17 and 19 years), £5 10c, £7 10s, or £ll 10s; children under 12 years of age* free, £1 , or £3. One of the provisions insisted upon in the case of a married person is that the nomination must include husband, wife, and family (if any), except where a judicial separation exists or desertion is proved. Pas.sages may be booked to Auckland, Gisborne, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Oamaru, and Port Chalnfers.
