MANUAL TRAINING SITE.
(To the Editor.) gir—The very fine offices and g-ounds of the N.Z. Dairy Company in Paeroa is the “. correct ” property for a manual training school for Paeroa. The company should have offices in the main street, near the station. With the head office scheme of lock-up shops for, tenants, the venture would be a payable proposition for the company. The Paeroa Borough Council could submit a loan proposal to the ratepayers of Paeroa to raise, say, £3OO towards the purchase, The farmers would, I feel,! sure, agree to a low price to the Government, and the Education Department would have no further obstacles in keeping Paeroa from its own just wants. About £3OO was.raised in Devonport for a similar object, and the school is a great success. -CON.
