INCIPIENT FIRE.

■ — ♦ ? LITTLE DAMAGE DONE. An incipient fire broke, put in the Paeroa Cash Sawmills shortly after 6,30 last evening. Mr W. Hall, who was passing the mill at the time, promptly advised the proprietor, Mr R. Phillips, whose residence is near the mill. "With the assistance •of Messrs V. Carrick and R. Wells the flames were quickly subdued by means of a hose which is installed for fire-fighting purposes. The. fire originated in the framework surrounding one of the boilers. Fortunately little damage was done. Mr Phillips carries no fire insurance on the mill or plant.
