THANKS. TO THE RATEPAYERS OF THE HAURAKI PLAINS. I WISH to thank all those who voted for me at the election of members for the Thames Hospital Board. While I was a member of the Board I never missed a meeting or special meeting, and all money I received by way of expenses I gave back to the Hospital Board, and it brings in by way of subsidy 24s in the £. 1 should have thanked the ratepayers before, but have only just come home from a spell in the Thames Hospital, and I would like to say that few know what a very fine institution we have in the Thames Hospital. A person wants to go in to know how well the sick are looked after from the time they go in. They are looked after by the doctor, matron, sisters, and nurses, hand and foot, and I cannot praise too highly the care the patients get while they are in hospital. HALYBURTON JOHNSTONE.
