Al -Jennnlgs is the star, the author, and the producer of “The Lady of the Dugout,’’ the great photodrama of the old West, which is to be screened this evening. It tells the story of how he was held up and relieved of a watch by a former pal. For three years Jennings, at the head of a daring band of bank (robbers, held the South-West a rip of terror But at last the reckoning came, and he found himself snug and tight behind prison bars.. TO-MORROW NIGHT. BROADWAY ROSE. With Mae' Murray in the stellar role of “Broadway Rose,” which is to be presented tpimorrow night, motto 1 ) picture fans will see the beautiful Metro star in an elaborate production. The story concerns a country girl who, by -her extraordinary ability as a dancer, becomes the idol of Broadway. The heir of an aristocratic Fifth Avenue family falls in love with her, ulrges her to marry him, and, seeking only happiness with the man she loves, Rosalie consents. To avoid an open rupture with his family the marriage is kept secret, but the discovery of the situation by the father precipitates a crisis which almost wrecks Violet’s life. CAPITOL PICTURES. NGATEA PUBLIC HALL. ,A. GUN-FIGHTING GENTLEMAN. At Ngatea to-night Harry Carey,, one of the most popular of the Universal stars, is to be seen in his latest six-reel drama, “A Gun-Fight-ing Gentleman.” Typically a Western story, it is a hard riding, fast-shooting drama of the clean type. NETHERTON PUBLIC HALL. THE MAGNIFICENT BRUTE. At Netherton on Monday night is to be screened a Universal special attraction, “The Magnificent Brute,” featuring Frank Mayo, the hero of romance. This masterpiece reveals lite in the raw—life as men live it under the law of Might and Right—as it is lived in the snow-covered forests of the Great North-West. It is the colourful story of an ultra modern girl who trifles with the affection of a primitive man.
