DOMAIN BOARD.

The Domain Board met after the last meeting of the Borough Council. The Paeroa Rugby Union applied for the use of the Domain for the forthcoming football season. ./ It was also stated that the No. 2 ground had become overgrown with thistles and blackberries,, and the union asked that the ground be cleared. The Mayor said that it was a small matter, and should be done. Cr. Silcock said that the Union did a lot of work last year, but did not have the funds necessary for the work this season, so asked the help of the Board. It was decided that the Union be granted the use of the ground for £7 10s. The Board would have the work of clearing done. The superintendent’s report and the balance-sheet for the past year were received and the minutes of the previous meeting confirmed.
