Only the best stories are published in the “ Storyteller/’ and the March number, just ready, is a particularly good one. Ernest Raymond, the brilliant author of “Tell England.” Baroness von Hutton, Vingie Roe, the attractive writer, of Canadian backwoods stories, Warwick Deeping, Barry Pain, Hugh Walpole, Frame Shaw, and several others are here. The last-named writer gives us a full length book novel entitled “Stick in the Mud Branwell.” The “Storyteller” holds its own among the front rank of British monthlies. We have to hand the Yellow Magazine. dated March 9th. This is a magazine at a popular price,, and containing high-class literary talent. Included among the authors contributing we find such names as EQliot Bayley, A. G. Greenwood, and W. Harold Thompson. The Green Magazine dated Marcn 13. which we have just received from the publishers, contains the second instalment of a grand new serial entitled “The Impossible Brute,” by Douglas Newton. This is in the author’s own inimitable style. Others contributing to this number are: Owen Oliver, Anthony Carlyle, Edward Woodward, Selwyn Jepson. The ever popular London Magazine for April, just published, is a bumper number, replete with fiction of the highest standard. Among the excellent features we pick out the following for special mention: A new story by the author of “Babbitt” ; “Buried Treasure,’” by Muriel Hine; “The wreck of the Lady Rose,” bv Beatrice Grimshaw. The illustrations in this magazine call for special common., the “London Picture Pages” containing a gallery of famous cinema stars being a work of art. The serial story, “Gerald Cranston’s* Lady,” by Gilbert Frnnkau, continues to develop in intensity, and is written in the author’s own gripping style.
